Count Dubois had 3 on the Cape Sale and averaged 3.3x the fee that produced this crop -- more than his most recent fee and 1.5x higher than the sale average. He has his biggest and best crop ever on sale at the National Yearling Sales this year -- 29 lots in all (that's more than double the number of yearlings from his entire first crop that made him a Champion Sire) and anyone who has followed his path to becoming SA's Champion Sire of 2yo's and Equus Award Sire in 2006 will know that he is set for greater glory. He has only 41 runners this season and if we multiply this to equal the number of runners that represent the other top sires in SA, he equals the number of winners credited to champion sire and current log leader Jet Master. Mike de Kock has his son Biarritz in Dubai and was reported on Tellytrack to have told Paul Lafferty that the horse will win during the Dubai Carnival. Count Dubois is the sire of SA's record priced weanling of his time and he was subsequently named Woodstock SL. He won his second start effortlessly today... This is the year to buy them! |
Dupont has given warning that his first small KZN crop has ability -- his first 3 runners on the track have been placed 5 times -- early days for this dual Guineas winner. He sold 10 lots at the Cape Sale and returned 10x his fee to his supporters. This 2nd crop sired and born in the Cape is 8 times the size of his first crop. Breeders that have other progeny on their farms confirm that they have very impressive individuals for sale later in the year -- there are more on the National Yearling Sales and a whole bunch more aimed at the 2yo Sale by which time buyers will know all about the ability of his first runners. We have high expectation that he has what it takes to make a stallion and we have invested our own and friends cash in them. |
